Mr Minty’s Cold and Flu Mist
I’m still kind of excited about Mr Minty’s, several months after first trying this new essential oil blend.
You see, Mr Minty’s was supposed to help keep away the nasty cold and flu germs away . It’s way better than that though! It works great to add to liquid hand soap, laundry soap, or as a spray in the bathroom. (soooooooo….. much better than a smelly sulfurous match to cover up the odors, don’t you know?) I have a son that is only about 7 months old, and since he started eating solid foods, well any family that has had babies can tell you, the odors sometimes need a magic wand to make them go away. I don’t think I need to say anything more than that, do I?
In our house the laundry pretty much goes all day and night, because I have six children. Once in a while, someone forgets or doesn’t notice the laundry is waiting to be put into the dryer, and then both the laundry and the washing machine stink of musty mold and mildew. Yuck! ( I know, using that term dates me, but then again, so does having six children)
When added to hand soap, it gives a clean fresh tingly scent that can even clean away the strongest of odors from your hands. Works to get rid of smells on your hands that are stubborn, even like after cutting up onions !
Mr Minty’s comes to the rescue!
Mr. Minty’s is a blend of tea tree oil, peppermint, and eucalyptus oil, and all three are famous for their reputations to help control germs, mold, mildew, bacteria, and fungus. The aroma is incredible! The peppermint blends so well with the tea tree oil and the eucalyptus that when I first started trying this mix, I swore their must have been some lavender in it. (there’s not, by the way)
The most popular use for the spray in our home is in the bathroom. Yes, disgusting to discuss, but obviously a huge market exists for products that cover odors in bathrooms, diaper pails, schools, and nursing homes too. Have you ever looked at the label on the store products? I can’t begin to pronounce some of the chemical names, and I don’t know what the side effects might be, or if they are cancer causing, because the companies that make them aren’t required to tell you anything about that.
Now look at the label for an essential oil. It should say something like “Ingredients: peppermint oil”. Mr Minty’s? The label says “an incredible blend of tea tree, eucalyptus, and peppermint”. That’s it. Three essential oils blended together to knock the socks off of odors and enliven your spirits, refresh your air, and brighten your day. An atmospheric wonder waiting to help you keep the earth clean and green. A renewable resource free from chemicals created in a lab with names only a chemist could love.
Sure, you could look up the compounds that make up an essential oil, and sure they’d probably be hard to pronounce too, but at least you know it’s merely the concentrated oils from a plant lots of folks could grow in their backyard or at least see in an arboretum or while on vacation somewhere.
Just sayin’ , that I really like Mr Minty’s, and we use it in our house all the time. My kids love it, my wife loves it, our friends seem to like it too.
